Users are granted access to folders in Kahua in two ways - at the application level or at the folder level.  When a user is granted permission to the File Manager app, they will inherit that permission for all folders in the folder structure.  However, folder permissions can be adjusted allowing users to have different permissions at the folder level.



To adjust a folder permission:


1. Navigate to the File Manager app

2. Select the appropriate folder in the log

3. Click on the Permissions tab

4. Select the group permission you wish to change (to create a new group, go to the Groups app first)

5. Select one or many roles for the group you have selected (the actions a role can take are listed next to each role)

6. Repeat steps 4-5 for all groups you wish to change

7. Click the Save button when done
