Outlook Plugin Behavior in the Kahua Commercial Network

Question: Does the Kahua Outlook Plugin store or link emails, and how is the content handled in the Kahua Commercial Network (KCN)?

Answer:

  • The Outlook Plugin does not maintain a live link to the mailbox.
  • Users choose which emails to save.
  • Selected emails are converted to a PDF and stored in the project as an attachment or reference file.
  • The file is treated like any other upload in KCN. It is scanned for malware, encrypted in transit and at rest, and governed by standard access controls and audit logging.

Please note that this information applies to the Kahua Commercial Network (KCN). For information about the Kahua Government Network (KGN), refer to the FedRAMP documentation.
