Dashboards is a domain-level application that uses data feeds to present a variety of visuals, from charts to count tiles to lists. The primary purpose of a dashboard is to present information in a variety of formats that will allow a user to make decisions around actions that may need to be taken, such as responding to overdue items. Dashboard definitions support Kahua’s inheritance model as a user navigates from project to project, so that a single dashboard definition can be used on multiple projects. Dashboards can be created for personal use or shared with groups in the domain.
Create/Edit/Delete a Dashboard
A dashboard is a collection of widgets that are viewed on a single named page. Kahua supports creating one to many dashboards.
Although dashboards are global, the data loaded in a dashboard instance is based on the current partition. If child partitions are included in one or more widgets, then the data for those widgets looks at the current partition and all partitions below.
Authorized users can create dashboards for themselves or share dashboards with a group.
Create a Dashboard
- Click the Dashboard Selector and select Add Dashboard.
- In the General tab, provide a Name for your Dashboard (e.g., Project Progress).
- To share your dashboard with a group, select the Share tab, toggle Share to enabled, and select the groups that can access your dashboard.
- Save your changes.

Create/Edit/Delete a Dashboard Widget
A widget is a single dashboard visual that presents information from a specific dataset. An example of a widget is a bar chart that displays punch list item counts by status.
The library and functionality of widgets is constantly being updated.
