May 2015 Release Notes

Included in this month's release:


In addition to various performance improvements, user interface updates and error corrections, this release also includes:


Shared Lists With Filtering

We have included the ability to share filtered lists in the following apps:

  • Communications 
  • Daily Reports
  • Field Observations
  • Issues
  • Material Tracking
  • Meetings
  • Punch Lists
  • Submittals


Save Options

Several apps now include the ability to Save, Save/Close and Save/New.  The Save action will save any changes to the record and keep the user in edit mode.  Save/Close will save any changes and close out edit of edit mode.  Save/New will save any changes, close out of edit mode and open a new record in edit mode using any pre-defined defaults.


Cost Management Configuration Updates

  • Within the Cost Management suite, additional columns are now available in the dataview menu when creating custom views
  • Within the Expense apps, added the ability to relabel, hide and set required fields


User Preferences

Users now have the ability to set the Expense, Funding and Work Breakdown apps to automatically open on login.


Data Store

Kahua now provides access to near real-time (NRT) data that can be consumed by external enterprise applications and reporting tools.  At least one platform license is required to utilize this functionality.  Please contact support@kahua.com for additional information.  


Mobile Updates

The iOS and Android apps have been updated.  Download the appropriate app for your device:

Mobile app updates will be released as approved by Apple and Google.  It may take up to 14 days for the app updates to become available.

Safety Checklist and Inspection Checklist by EZ Apps

Two new Checklist apps will dramatically simplify and accelerate the process of creating and managing your various safety, inspections, commissioning, and other checklist processes. 

Some key capabilities of these apps include:

  • The ability to create custom checklists or select from an existing library of forms
  • Checklist forms can include numerous types of questions including Yes/No, Open Ended, Unit, Scale, Dates, and Company selections
  • Checklists can leverage Kahua’s powerful workflow engine and can  incorporate a sign off process
  • All Exceptions for a project are managed in one location
  • Out of the box Reporting and exporting of data
  • Go mobile! Powerful iOS and Android functionality for completing checklists on site and in the field, where the majority of the tasks need to be observed
