Kahua is excited to introduce a new way to access Kahua! Users can log in and work directly from their browser, with no additional application or installation.  Accessing via the browser provides an easy way for occasional users or those that are not permitted to load our host on their machine. This host is browser agnostic; users can use their browser of choice, whether it is Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc. Generally, functionality will be similar to the experience on desktop, with a few exceptions. For more information on differences between the desktop and mobile hosts, please visit our comparison page. While this host has been through significant QA and end user testing over the last several months, users may encounter some items that may not work or perform to expectations with the initial release. If this is observed, it is recommended to report this to and to utilize the desktop host to perform the activity. To access Kahua via the browser, click “Launch in Browser” from the launch page.

Launch Page:

Based on user preferences, email notifications can be sent to inform a user that a new Message has been received.  We have updated the format of this message to remove “New Kahua Message” from the beginning of the email subject and updated the “From” information to include “via Kahua”.

Example email client:

The Messenger section on the Contacts>People and User Profile apps has been removed.  The data remains in the database; however, it is no longer exposed within the product.

Publicly available Vimeo and YouTube video types are now supported along with Wistia types. Previously configured Wistia videos will continue to be displayed as well.

Videos are setup in Configuration for each app. Select the desired video type in the Source drop down under the Videos & Documentation section. A valid ID must be entered for the Video. Tip: Kahua will attempt to determine the ID if the entire URL string is entered in the ID field, but for best results, only include the ID.

App Configuration for Videos & Documentation:

Videos can be viewed by selecting Videos & Documentations when right clicking on an open App. This menu is only available when videos or documents have been configured.
